Móveis Coloniais de Acaju
Móveis Coloniais de Acaju, or simply Móveis, are a ten piece band named after a minor historical event. André Gonzáles (vocal), BC (guitar), Beto Mejía (flute), Eduardo Borém (harmonica, melodica e keyboard), Esdras Nogueira (sax), Fabio Pedroza (bass), Leonardo Bursztyn (guitar), Paulo Rogério (sax), Gabriel Coaracy (drums) e Xande Bursztyn (trombone).
Formed in 1998 they are from Brasilia, DF, Brazil. Every member brings their own influences to the band, this is made evident in their mix of rock and ska influenced by all sorts of world music: from Brazilian samba and bossa nova to rhythms of lots of other countries. Their live performances are very energetic. It's common at the end of a show for all band members go down to the middle of the crowd during the performance of their hit Copacabana. Their music is self-intitled, in cuisine terms, "Bulgarian Feijoada" for their variety of influences.
